Creamy burrata, juicy peaches, grilled crostini, marinated bruschetta tomatoes, prosciutto, berries, and three simple pairings you'll want to make all summer.
One of my favorite things about summer is wandering the farmers market and coming home with whatever looks too good to leave behind. Usually that means peaches, tomatoes, berries...and, if I'm being honest, burrata somehow finds its way into my basket too.
This board came together from that exact kind of shopping trip. Instead of piling on lots of ingredients, I started with a few seasonal combinations I knew belonged together. The result is a board that's easy to assemble, beautiful on the table, and even more fun to eat because everyone gets to build their own favorite bite.
🍁One Thing I've Learned
Build around pairings, not ingredients.
Some of my favorite recipes start with whatever looked best at the farmers market that week. When the ingredients are in season, the best pairings often reveal themselves—you just have to let them.
Build Your First Bite
If you're not sure where to start, try one of these:
Half the fun is coming up with your own combinations after that!
Complete the Menu
If this board were making an appearance on my table tonight, here's what I'd serve alongside it:
Pesto Panko Crusted Salmon — Golden, crispy, and finished with fresh basil pesto, it's a flavorful main course that pairs beautifully with the creamy burrata and fresh summer produce.
Italian-Style Roasted Vegetables — A colorful mix of roasted vegetables finished with an herby vinaigrette and Parmesan adds warmth to the menu while keeping the meal light and seasonal.
Pour a chilled Pinot Grigio or dry rosé, set everything in the middle of the table, and let everyone help themselves. Those are my favorite kinds of summer dinners.
Until Next Time...
I hope this recipe inspires a trip to your local farmers market this weekend. Buy whatever looks best, bring it home, and let the season do most of the work.
Happy cooking,
P.S. If you make the summer burrata board (or any of the other recipes), I’d love it if you’d pop over and leave a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ rating and a quick comment on the post. It seriously helps more readers find the recipe — and it totally makes my day. 😊
Stay tuned and be sure to follow us for more simple seasonal recipes with a little bit of fancy!
July 29, 2026 Hi there, Tomato season is one of the highlights of summer. July 15, 2026 Hi there, You know those restaurant dishes that you order every single time because they're just that good? Chicken (Pollo) al Limone, an Italian-style lemon chicken dish, was always one of those for me. During my years working in Italian-American restaurants, I came to appreciate how a handful of simple ingredients could create something so memorable. My version stays true to that bright, buttery classic, with one small Maplevine Kitchen twist: a touch of Parmesan in the flour...
July 8, 2026 Hi friends, Have you ever gone to the farmers market for one thing... and somehow left with tomatoes, peaches, corn, berries, basil, zucchini, and absolutely zero regrets? Same. July is hands down one of my favorite months to cook (and to eat!). The produce is doing all the heavy lifting, and it doesn't take much to turn a market haul into something that looks like you spent hours in the kitchen. 🛒 This Month I'm Bringing Home 🍅 Heirloom tomatoes 🌽 Sweet corn 🫐 Summer berries 🍑...
