Fire Up the Grill + Make It a Delicious Fourth

Whether you're planning a big backyard bash or keeping things simple with family and friends, the 4th of July is one of my favorite excuses to eat outside, grill something great, and pile my plate high with summer sides.

I’ve pulled together a handful of cookout-ready recipes that bring the flavor—just add sunshine, maybe a sparkler or two, and something cold to sip.

Grilled Shrimp and Chicken Skewers with Lime Cilantro Marinade – Zesty, juicy, and so easy to prep ahead. Great for grilling and even better for sharing.

Grilled Chicken with Blueberry BBQ Sauce – A smoky-sweet twist on classic BBQ chicken. That blueberry sauce made with fresh seasonal blueberries is unexpected in the best way.

Grilled Summer Squash and Zucchini with Lemon Basil Drizzle – Caramelized on the grill and finished with a fresh, herby drizzle. Simple, seasonal, and always a hit.

Mango Cucumber Salad with Avocado and Fresh Mint – Cool, juicy, and the perfect balance to all the grilled goodness.

Charred Corn Salad with Smoky Lime Vinaigrette – A bright, crunchy side that goes with just about everything on the grill.

Tomato bruschetta dip

September 3, 2025 Hi friend, It’s that golden moment of late summer — when the tomatoes are heavy on the vine, the basil’s still thriving, and every dinner feels like a chance to slow down and savor. This Bruschetta Dip with Whipped Feta is my current favorite way to soak it all up. It’s easy, stylish, and designed for sharing. We're talking juicy heirloom cherry tomatoes marinated with garlic and olive oil, fresh basil, and a cloud of creamy whipped feta underneath. Scoop it all up with...

August 6, 2025 We’re in that stretch of summer where everything just feels a little slower—in the best way. The sun hangs around longer, dinner doesn’t have to be a big production, and honestly? I’m leaning hard into snacky meals on the patio. These are a few of my go-to appetizer recipes right now. They're easy to throw together, feel a little special, and are perfect for sharing—or grazing on solo with a cold drink and a good playlist. Easy Breezy Summer Charcuterie Board – A mix-and-match...

July 30, 2025 Hello again! Let’s just say I’ve been in my Italian summer era lately—and it’s showing in the kitchen. Think crispy golden chicken, creamy dreamy sun-dried tomato pasta, and simple seasonal sides that require zero fuss but taste like they came straight from a trattoria. I just published two new recipes on the blog that are packed with flavor, quick to make, and perfect for warm-weather dinner cravings: 20-Minute Marry Me Pasta – Featuring a garlicky cream sauce with plenty of...
